  1. Nine day lecture series on “Law, Gender and Equality”
    The Nine Day Lecture Series was organised on the theme “Law and Gender Equality” from 3rd to 12th August 2015, and saw participation of more than 80 students.
    The college received a grant of Rs. 10,000 /- from Board of Students’ Welfare Department, Savitribai Phule Pune University for the activity. Academicians of the ILS Law College participated and contributed as Resource Persons.

  2. Special Guidance Scheme
    English has over the time become a universal language and is widely used in the court proceedings. Realizing the same and recognizing the students with education at primary and secondary level in vernacular language, 30 remedial lectures were conducted by Ms. Usha Ganesh for improvement of English language for the students of I B.A. LL.B. and I LL.B. Top scorers in English subject were felicitated during the Foundation Day of the Indian Law Society on 4th March 2016.
  3. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil Earn and Learn Scheme
    The above mentioned scheme was initiated in the academic year of 2012-13 for the benefit of the economically backward students on submission of their parents’ income certificate. Moving a step further on this path, the Savitribai Phule Pune University, for the encouragement of girl students, relaxed the criterion for girl students regarding their submission of income certificate. This academic year saw a higher growth in girl students benefitting out of this scheme because of such policy adopted by the University. Students who were enrolled under this scheme by fulfilling its criteria in the academic year 2015-16 have availed the benefit of the same since July 2015. The College received the grant of the Rs 2,40,000/- from Student Welfare Department, Savitribai Phule Pune University. Such a grant by the University added to the college’s own fund led to a huge participation of the students under this scheme with the number going as high as 56.Reader on Demand
    The honest belief of the Student Welfare Department in Access to All with respect to the educational facilities and the need to look after the needs of Visually Challenged Students motivated the Department to bring a Reader on Demand scheme as a wing of the Earn and Learn Scheme. Under this scheme a reader is provided to a Visually Challenged Student by deputing able body students registered under Earn and Learn Scheme and payment/ remuneration to the students provided as a reader is done under the Earn and Learn Scheme.
  4. Career Counselling cum Motivation Workshop
    Under the aegis of the Students’ Welfare department and Equal Opportunity cell cum Enabling Cell of ILS Law College one day “Career Counselling cum Motivation Workshop” was organized with an objective to stimulate, encourage and motivate the students with disability. This event was organized on 17th January, 2016 in remembrance of Louis Braille. A grant of Rs. 75,000/- from the Student Welfare Department, Savitribai Phule Pune University was made for this noble event which saw overwhelming participation of around 130 disabled students.
