Women’s Studies Center, ILS Law College, in collaboration with the Department of Law, University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia, offers Certificate Course on “Women, Gender and Law” every year. Students from UNSW, Australia and students of ILS are admitted for this course.

The Course provides our students an opportunity of peer learning from the students of foreign university. The field visit expose the Australian students to the Indian socio-cultural and economic status of the Indian community while dealing with various legal issues. This opportunity provides platform for exchange of socio-cultural and legal knowledge to both and UNSW students. The course covers various Feminist Theories and application of these theories to issues such as violence against women, marriage and family, sex selective abortion, surrogacy, LGBTIQ, political participation, economic empowerment etc. in Indian as well as Australian jurisdiction.
