About Library

Right from its establishment in 1924, our library has become the “heart of the campus”. Keeping in view the aims and ideal of the parent institution the library has developed itself into one of the richest and finest law library of India.

Ils law college library is most lively place in the college that enables learning & advancement of knowledge. It had been methodically developed the collection of books and journals right from inception. It is rich in collections which consist of text books, reference books, journals, legal magazines, general books, etc. It also subscribes e-journals packages of law and social science disciplines of well international publishers to enhance & promote research activity.

The library operations are automated using slim-21 library and information management software. The online public access catalogue (opac) enables library users to search the book database by title, author and publication etc. Library conducts extension services like book exhibition, orientation programs for new users.

The library had a collection of 58762 reference books and textbooks. In addition to its collection of projects, theses, reports etc. Are available in library. It subscribes about 60 periodicals out of which 43 are legal and socio-legal and 17 are general in nature. It also subscribed 10 daily newspapers of state and national level both in marathi and english.

Library is administered by the librarian in assistance of four technical assistants.

Library advisory committee ensures proper administration of the library.
