Program Overview: Indian Law Society (ILS) established in 1923 embarked upon the journey of imparting quality legal education realizing the dynamic role of law in human life and civil society, and the potential of the legal profession in bringing peaceful social transformation. Imparting professionally desired and socially relevant legal education on a scientific basis has always been a prominent object on the agenda of the Society.
ILS introduced an initiative titled ‘Towards Conscious Legal Education’ to facilitate teaching and learning of legal topics that are not a part of the mainstream legal education and stresses on the practical aspects of law.
The Society, under the TCLE initiative is launching an online certificate program on Hindu Law of Succession to demystify the myths surrounding Hindu Succession, Partition, and Coparcenary Property. This programme will equip litigating lawyers, government officers, and students with necessary and practical knowledge regarding Laws of Hindu Succession.
