Eligibility:
- The competition is open to students pursuing LL.B. (3-year or 5-year) or LL.M. programmes from any recognized university or institution.
- Participants must be currently enrolled at the time of the competition.
Rules of the competition:
- This competition shall take place in offline mode at ILS Law College, Pune.
- The proposition shall be released to registered participants two (2) hours before the competition for research and analysis.
- Participants shall not be permitted to use any electronic devices or Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools at any stage of the competition.
- During the research and analysis period, participants may use library resources related to the given proposition and shall be permitted access to the ILS library for research purposes.
- Any damage caused to library property shall be the responsibility of the participant concerned and shall be duly compensated.
- During the drafting and writing phase, the use of any reference material whatsoever, except the given proposition, is strictly prohibited.
- The proposition shall be framed by the host college on the broad theme or any of the listed sub-themes, from which one topic shall be provided on the day of the competition.

(Legal aid, digital literacy, and access to justice) - Absence of a Hybrid Court System and Its Effect on Marginalized Litigants
(Need for physical access alongside digital courts) - Data Protection and Privacy Concerns in Online Judicial and Legal Aid Platforms
(Protection of sensitive personal data of litigants)
Rules for Conduct of the PIL Drafting Competition:
- The Participants shall draft the PIL on the same proposition only.
- The participants shall have a maximum time of 1 hour and 30 minutes only to draft the PIL and submit it to the Supervisor.
- Papers for writing will be provided by the Organizers.
- The language for the competition shall be English.
- The evaluation shall be based on legal reasoning, clarity of drafting, coherence, and understanding of PIL jurisprudence.
- Content of PIL – Cause Title of the case, Statement of Jurisdiction, Facts of the Case, Grounds of the PIL, Pleadings and Prayer.
- The host College will allow a maximum of 30 teams only on a first come first serve basis.
