Raghavendra Phadnis Essay Writing, Case Comment, and Legislative Comment Competition: A.Y. 2024-25


ILS Law College is pleased to announce the annual Raghavendra Phadnis Essay Writing, Case Comment, and Legislative Comment Competition, 2024-25 for ILS Students. The competition comprises of three events, i.e. Essay Writing, Case Comment, and Legislative Comment. Students may submit entries for all three, if they choose to. The topics for this year’s competition are as follows:

Essay Writing:

  • Election Propaganda through Cash Transfer Schemes: The Ethics and The Economics
  • Environmental Law and the Challenges of Air Pollution in India
  • Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education in India: A Critical Analysis

Case Comment:

Legislative Comment:

The submissions should conform to the following guidelines:

Word Limit: 3000-3500 words (Maximum).

Font: Times New Roman

Font Size (Text) – 12

Font Size (Footnotes) – 10

Line Spacing: 1.5

Footnoting style  – Bluebook 21st Edition

The last date for the submission of the entries is 29th December 2024. All entries must be sent to [email protected] by 23:59 p.m. on that date. The Subject of the Email should state ‘R. Phadnis [Essay Writing/Case Comment/Legislative Comment] Entry’.

All entries are subject to a plagiarism check and shall stand to be disqualified if the similarity index is higher than 20%.
