Autonomous Online Diploma in Corporate Laws: July 2025

Programme Overview: The Diploma in Corporate Laws offered by the Indian Law Society is a broad-spectrum programme customized to cater to the needs of students and working legal professionals. An important part of laws and regulations, companies must comply which is ensuring that creditors, customers and suppliers have the information they need in order to be able to do business with a company with confidence.

This programme is designed to equip the participants with the necessary knowledge in corporate and allied laws. This programme offers an in-depth background on a wide range of topics arising out of corporate laws, as well as allied laws such as the Commercial Courts Act, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, Competition Law, SEBI Regulations, IPR and Data Privacy. It also seeks to cover various facets of business and corporate legislation and includes study of practical aspects of FEMA as well as covering important topics such as Corporate Taxation, Takeover Code, Labour Laws and Media Laws and Data Privacy. The faculty consists of practicing senior corporate lawyers, Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries and Experts from Corporate Sector

Module 1 Incorporation of a company and LLP:   2 hrs
Module 2 Company and LLP as a separate Legal Entity:   4 hrs
Module 3 Corporate capacity   6 hrs
Module 4 Corporate Finance   10 hrs
Module 5 Corporate Securities   4 hrs
Module 6 Management   4 hrs
Module 7 Corporate Governance   10 hrs
Module 8 Corporate Liability 2 hrs
Module 9 Corporate Insolvency   4 hrs
Module 10 Civil Remedies and Dispute Resolution   6 hrs
Module 11 Corporate Reconstruction   2 hrs
Module 12 Taxation 6 hrs
Module 13 An overview of other Laws relevant to working of a company   12 hrs

Learning Outcome:

  • Understanding the formation of the company.
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of directors, shareholders and key managerial practice.
  • Gain knowledge on SEBI regulations, corporate ethics and governance standards.
  • Develop skills to draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts.
  • Learn about securities law, insider trading and stock market regulations.
  • Understand the importance of trademarks, copyrights, patents.
Duration 21st July 2025 to 25th September 2025. (72 hours of learning)
Registration 9th July 2025 to 21st July 2025
Time, days 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm, Monday to Thursday
For whom Professionals, any graduate, III-year BBALLB & BA LLB & I year LLB onwards.
Fees Rs. 16,949.15 + Rs. 3,050.85/- (18% GST) = Rs. 20,000/-
Seats 50
Examination Online MCQ exam after every module. Every exam will be of 20 marks. Total – 260 marks
-Article review – 40 marks
-Seminar presentation – 50 marks
-Casebook – 25 marks
-Hands on activity on contract drafting – 25 marks
Total assessment = 400 marks                             
Course Material Will be provided
Certification  Certificate on completion of programme with 70% attendance and minimum score of 40% marks in the examination

Submission of all the above assignments is compulsory. Failure to submit any one assignment will result in the non-completion of the course. Additionally, a minimum of 70% attendance is required to be eligible for the completion of your course. This includes your overall attendance in sessions.

Payment mode: Online.  Only through Direct SBI, Net Banking and Credit Card.  Debit Cards payments are not acceptable.
