ABOUT AIKYAM 4:0 – STATE-LEVEL LEGAL AID FEST

The Legal Aid Centre of ILS Law College introduced the Legal Aid Fest in the year 2022 to mark the celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. “Aikyam” denotes unity and this year, we take this opportunity in celebrating these feelings of unity and togetherness by recognizing the role and importance of the Constitution of India and celebrating its spirit. The inspiration behind the fest was to create awareness on socio-legal themes in a creative way. The fest encouraged participation of college students, from all faculties, across Pune district to showcase their talents and create consciousness about the various issues in society.  In pursuance of the same, this year we are all set to welcome the fest in its fourth edition at the State level and with a brand-new theme.

Broad theme: SAMVIDHAAN KA SAMMAN : Celebrating 75 Years of Indian Constitution

The Constitution of India stands as a cornerstone of democracy, embodying the principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. As the country marks 75 years of this historic document, it is only appropriate to reflect on its enduring significance. The Constitution not only provides the framework for governance but also safeguards the fundamental rights of citizens, ensuring a balance between individual freedoms and collective welfare. Over the decades, it has evolved through amendments to meet the changing needs of society while retaining its core values.
