18th Remembering Professor S.P. Sathe International Moot Court Competition 2024

The year 2023-24 marks a golden period for ILS Law College, Pune (India), where the College is stepping into its centennial year. The College has been a forerunner in providing inclusive and innovative legal education and has taken up various activities in pursuance of the same. While celebrating our centenary year, and as we embark on the journey of painting a future as illustrious as our past, we take immense pleasure in announcing one of the most awaited competitions that ILS Law College, Pune hosts – ‘18th Remembering Professor S. P. Sathe International Moot Court Competition 2024.’ The Competition will be conducted from February 23 to February 25, 2024 in an offline mode at ILS Law College, Pune.

We are delighted to announce that SCC Online and Eastern Book Company have joined us as our Knowledge Partners.

This year’s theme for the entire series is ‘Law and Culture with special focus on the role played by Language’ and the Moot Proposition for the Competition is based on ‘International Human Rights Violations of the Indigenous Tribes.’ It features a dispute between two States before the International Court of Justice. This theme is of particular relevance given there are an estimated 476 million indigenous peoples worldwide, and that they account for about 19 percent of the extremely vulnerable sections. We believe that this will be a fruitful learning experience for the participants and will help them delve into an interesting and challenging field of law.
