Seminar on Recent Developments in Competition Law : Postponed to 5th November 2023


The collaborative session on the Recent Developments in Competition Law by the ILS Centre for Commercial Laws and the Competition Commission of India scheduled to be held on the 27th October stands postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

The seminar will now be held on the 5th of November, from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

 

ILS CENTRE FOR COMMERCIAL LAWS in collaboration with COMPETITION COMMISSION OF INDIA is organising a seminar on  “Recent Developments in Competition Law” . 

Brief Introduction of the Center:    

The Centre for Commercial Laws is a student-run body overseen by faculty in charge Ms. Vindhya Gupta and Ms. Parul Raghuwanshi. The Centre is an amalgamation of the ILS Corporate Law Cell and the ILS Competition Law Cell. The Centre was formed because a need was felt to broaden the scope of both Cells to study the various interdisciplinary aspects of the Commercial laws in tangent. Through its regular sessions, newsletter, competitions, and various other activities, the Centre aims to bolster the students’ interest in commercial laws and start a discussion about the current developments in the law and its interaction with other areas of law.

Brief Introduction of the Seminar:

The proposed seminar is a collaborative activity between the Competition Commission of India (CCI) and the ILS Centre for Commercial Laws. Dedicated to the intricate landscape of competition law, it will shed light on the pivotal role played by the Act in cultivating a market environment that is both competitive and equitable.

This seminar aims to provide a platform for participants to gain profound insights, delve into landmark cases, and stay updated on the latest legislative developments. It promises to an enriching exploration of the critical legal framework that underpins competition law and an opportunity for meaningful discourse.

Through strategic advocacy initiatives and proactive engagement with stakeholders, the Commission has effectively fostered a culture of awareness and stringent compliance with competition regulations. Thus, the Centre has collaborated with the commission to provide participants with an in-depth comprehension of the nuances of the Competition Act, 2002.
