Two – Day Webinar on Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996-07 Aug 2021


The ILS Centre for Arbitration (ILSCA) was established on 3rd December 2016 by the Governing Council of the Indian Law Society. This Centre is established with various purposes in mind.

  1. The main purpose of establishing this Centre is to provide hands on experience to interested participants in learning the process of Arbitration and Mediation through various programmes.
  2. The Centre is also established for providing facilities for holding ad-hoc arbitration and institutional arbitrations, both in domestic as well as International commercial arbitrations. We at the ILSCA, seek to promote institutional arbitration and institutional mediation

Arbitration and Mediation as modes of dispute settlement, have gained immense popularity in the recent years. This calls for good training in the procedures and nuances of arbitration and Mediation not only for people in the legal fraternity, but also for people of other professions.

Under the COVID Pandemic, ILSCA has geared up to provide online training programmes in Arbitration and Mediation catering to lawyers, students of law, leading businesses and legal institutes. ILSCA intends to bridge the gap between theory and practice through online training programmes in both these areas which are gaining great importance in the legal profession.

To this effect, the ILSCA is pleased to announce a two-day webinar on the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996. The webinar is scheduled to be held on 7th and 8th August 2021 between 4.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m.

7th August 2021 – Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996: An Overview by Adv. Kedar Dhongde

8th August 2021 – The 2019 Amendment: An Analysis by Adv. Yuvraj P. Narvankar
