ILS Law College, Pune, in collaboration with Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Maharashtra and Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for students to conduct workshops in PMC Schools on creating awareness regarding Prohibition of Child Marriage and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences.
Who can Participate: Students from IV B.A.LLB, V B.A.LLB, I LLB, II LLB, and III LLB are eligible to participate.
Nature of Responsibility:
The schools provide the best platform for disseminating information and to inculcate values in the students. Therefore, to safeguard the interests of the students, Legal Aid Centre, ILS Law college Pune is desirous of conducting legal awareness workshops in the Municipal Schools in the area of Pune City.
Responsibilities of students of ILS Law College, Pune:
- Addressing the children of the 8th, 9th and 10th classes through presentations, skits and other performances
- Educating the students about the provisions of The Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 and Protection of Children against Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
- Informing the children about the rights of the children under these enactments.
- Creating awareness about the redressal system in cases of violation of the rights under the said Acts
