The division of Integrated India into two separate geographical regions is an unfortunate event in Indian history. India gained independence but the dawn of independence came with the large scale communal riots and death of millions. Partition led to huge loss of property, loss of life, loss of women’s rights and overall violation of human rights of citizens.
To remember the pain of partition, the central government has declared this day as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day. Accordingly, ILS Law College, Pune is organizing an online lecture for students on the subject of Partition Horrors – Lessons to be Learnt by Nikhil Walimbe, CEO of Demos Research Foundation, on August 16, 2024 at 6:00 PM.
The lecture will be conducted online and the link will be sent. All students are expected to join this lecture.
