Script Writing Competition


Introduction and Eligibility:
The ILS Legal Aid Centre, marking its Golden Jubilee (2025–26), proudly presents the Script Writing Competition 2025 where imagination meets the art of dialogue writing! This is your chance to step into the world of creative advocacy and use storytelling as a tool for legal awareness.
This competition offers a platform for aspiring writers to create impactful narratives that will be performed as Nukkad Natak (street plays). The event aims to combine storytelling with social awareness, promoting legal literacy and inspiring change.
The Script Writing Competition shall be open to students from all batches of ILS Law College, Pune, for the Academic Year 2025-26.
Individual or team entries are permitted. Team entries are limited to a maximum of 2 Students.
 
Script Writing Competition:
The last date for submission of the scripts : 10th August, 2025 before 11:59 p.m. via Google form : https://forms.gle/moXVRTGiAUsmk5Cw9
 
Plagiarism, Originality and Copyright:
All entries must be original, unpublished, and solely the work of the participant(s).
Plagiarism and the use of AI is strictly prohibited: any script found to include copied text, ideas, dialogues, or characters will be disqualified.
Entries will undergo plagiarism checks.
Copyright of scripts submitted for the competition shall remain with ILS Law College.
Submitted scripts shall be used by the ILS Legal Aid centre for legal literacy camps.
 
Themes:
Students may write on any ONE of the topics given under the below themes:
1. सायबर जागरूकता (Cyber Awareness)
a) फेक न्यूज – शेअर करण्याआधी विचार करा / फेक न्यूज – फॉरवर्ड करने से पहले सोचो
b) पासवर्ड सांभाळा, जगाला नका सांगू! / पासवर्ड ज़िंदगी का ताला है

2. पर्यावरण संरक्षण (Environment Protection)
a) फेकायचं, पण कुठे? / फेंकना है, लेकिन कहाँ?
b) पाण्याचे अश्रू /पानी के आँसू

3. हवामान बदल (Climate Change)
a) निसर्गाची निरोपाची चिठ्ठी /प्रकृति की आख़िरी चिट्ठी
b) धगधगते भविष्य! / उबलता भविष्य!

4. बौद्धिक संपदा अधिकार (Intellectual Property Rights)
a) नाव तुमचं, काम माझ! /नाम तेरा, मेहनत मेरी!
b) कॉपी पेस्ट: शिक्षा की धडा! /कॉपी-पेस्ट : अपराध या शिक्षा

5. मोटर वाहन अधिनियम (Motor Vehicles Act)
a) बाईक तुझी, पण रस्ता सगळ्यांचा! /बाइक आपकी है, लेकिन सड़क सबकी है!
b) पोलिस नव्हे, सुरक्षा  बघा! /पुलिस से नहीं, मौत से डर!

6. भारतीय राज्यघटना / संविधान (Constitution)
a) केवळ हक्क नकोत, कर्तव्यही हवीत / अधिकार के साथ कर्तव्य भी
b) संविधान माझं ही आहे का? / क्या संविधान मेरा भी है?
 
Guidelines for the script and formatting:
1. Roles
The script should involve a minimum of 5 and maximum of 7 roles. 
2. Introduction and story
Participants must introduce all the characters first and then continue with the script. The characters should be introduced in a numbered format.
The Introduction of the character shall include
– Name
– Age
– Gender
– Any other relevant information 
3. Font and Spacing
The font used in all parts of the script, including headings and sub-headings, must ONLY be in Nirmala UI (black font colour), font size 12, with 1.5-line spacing, and Justified alignment.

4. Language and Word limit
The script should be in Hindi or Marathi language.
Entries should be between 2000-2500 words.
 
Evaluation Criteria and Marking Scheme:
 
Criteria
Originality & Creativity – 10 Marks
Legal Accuracy & Insight – 10 Marks
Structure and Plot – 30 Marks
Dialogue & Characterization – 30 Marks
Emotional Impact/ Message – 10 Marks
Formatting and Style – 10 Marks
Total100 Marks
 
Announcement of Winners and Prizes:
One winner along with 2 Runners’ up will be selected across all submissions and will be awarded accordingly.
All the participants shall be awarded with certificates of participation.
 
Disqualification:
A script may be disqualified if:
Plagiarism or AI is detected.
The submission breaches the word limit, formatting rules, or deadline.
Contains offensive, discriminatory, or disallowed content.
Interpretations of rules by the organisers are final and binding.
